The second class of my environmental history course took place last week. We practiced applying historical ways of thinking to something familiar: Trent University itself. There are many forms of historical evidence available on campus, and as we pulled these together, we related them to the lessons provided by some key readings by Donald Worster, William Cronon, and Alan MacEachern.
