It was twenty years ago today...

The seasons come and go...

So, I just realized that it really was twenty years ago today that I started working at Trent University (August 1, 1994).

That's twenty years of watching the changing scene in Canadian environmental studies (and it really has changed), while writing and editing four books, creating four new courses (Environmental Science and Politics, Environmental History, Greening the Campus, Knowledge), serving four years as department chair (I'm now on my fifth), creating a new degree program (Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems), teaching so many interesting students, and enjoying life here at Trent and in Peterborough.  It's been fun.

Here's to the next twenty.
